Welcome to our website
WFSC is a very friendly club catering for swimmers of all abilities from 8 years of age through to adult.
We have a dedicated team of qualified coaches and teachers on board to help develop all four disciplines either for fitness or through to competition.
Swimmers are offered the opportunity to compete at low level through to County level or for enjoyment/fitness purposes. Our Adults range from fitness only through to Open Water with an experienced Open water coach on board.

Due to an approaching retirement, Woodham Ferrers Swimming Club is looking for a fully qualified L2 Coach to join us on a self-employed basis. The ideal applicant should be passionate about swimming and would benefit from a competitive background. Applicants should be enthusiastic, experienced and fully committed to developing all our squads.
The role will encompass approximately 12 swim sessions per week, paid hourly. This will include early morning and evening sessions including a Sunday evening. Accompanying teams and swimmers to competitions including the Essex Mini League, Essex Swim League and other events is also part of the role, although cover can be provided if needed.
There will be a requirement to carry out some administration to undertake the role, i.e. maintain registers and other records, provide input/advice to the club committee as requested and support the selection of teams for gala events.
We are an expanding club in its early competition development and already have County and Regional qualifying swimmers. We also have a small competitive Masters presence and several competing triathletes.
We have a strong and supportive committee with a qualified team of teachers to assist you in your role. The existing Head Coach will also be on hand to assist in a smooth transition and handover.
If you are interested in the role, please forward a full C.V. outlining your experience to: woodhamferrersswimmingclub@outlook.com
Woodham Ferrers Swimming Club has been established in South Woodham Ferrers since the swimming pool was built in 2005. Like most clubs it is run by a dedicated committee who have steered and administered the club over the years and a group of other volunteers who help with swim events, officiating at galas and fundraising.
Although we are always looking for additional support for the club, some recent changes mean that we are seeking to appoint new people to the committee and also a new Head Coach who will be retiring in the next 12 months.
For the post of Head Coach we will be advertising in the appropriate publications but if you hold a swim coaching qualification and are interested in supporting and developing our swim club then please get in contact with us via woodhamferrersswimmingclub@outlook.com
For the club committee we are seeking a new Chair along with other volunteer(s) perhaps with a finance background or just a willingness to support the overall administration of the club. You do not need to be a member or parent of a swimmer of the club, just have a desire to support young people in developing their swimming skills and fulfilling their potential.
If you are interested in any of the above roles or just want to have a chat about how you could help then please speak to any member of the committee or contact us via - woodhamferrersswimmingclub@outlook.com
Thanks,
WFSC Committee
