Welcome to our website
Woodham Ferrers Swimming Club has been established in South Woodham Ferrers since the swimming pool was built in 2005. Like most clubs it is run by a dedicated committee who have steered and administered the club over the years and a group of other volunteers who help with swim events, officiating at galas and fundraising.
WFSC is a very friendly club catering for swimmers of all abilities from 8 years of age through to adult.
We have a dedicated team of qualified coaches and teachers on board to help develop all four disciplines either for fitness or through to competition.
Swimmers are offered the opportunity to compete at low level through to County and Regional level or for enjoyment/fitness purposes. Our Adults range from fitness only through to Open Water with an experienced Open water coach on board.

Swim England - Message to members
Many of you will have seen or heard about tonight’s BBC Panorama programme that addressed issues within the swimming community. We want to make it clear that the club is not featured in the programme.
That said, we take the topic very seriously. At Woodham Ferrers Swimming Club, we have zero tolerance for bullying, body shaming, or any behaviour that compromises the wellbeing of our members. The safety and support of our members is at the heart of everything we do.
We strictly follow all Swim England safeguarding procedures and are committed to creating a positive, inclusive space where every swimmer can thrive.
If you have any questions or would like to speak with one of the club further, please feel free to reach out.
If you or your child is affected by any of the issues raised, please speak to our club welfare officer – Ray Cline: welfare-woodhamferrersswimclub@outlook.com or Swim England have some independent organisations available to contact on their website here. https://www.swimming.org/swimengland/other-safeguarding-organisations-resources/
